MEET THE CREATOR

Hey friends! My name is Whitney.

I was born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas. I moved to Utah at the age of 18 to attend Utah Valley University. There, I earned my bachelors degree in Business and Marketing Secondary Education with a minor in Digital Media.

After spending nearly six years living in Provo and Orem, Utah, I made a wonderful decision to move north to Salt Lake City where I began my career as a high school teacher. Once I made the move to Salt Lake, I was also able expand my love for nature and the mountains and continue professional growth in business, digital media, and photography.

Along with my passion for outdoor activities, I have always had a love for baking and more recently cooking in general. The first cake I ever baked was when I was in 7th grade, a vanilla cake with whipped cream topping and fresh fruit laid out as a U.S. flag for a 4th of July party at my house in Texas.

I didn't really start baking regularly on my own until I was 20. I began with a love for all things cupcakes, and once I picked up my desire to be a lifelong learner (AKA educator) I have continued baking to learn how to make more treats, including cupcakes, cakes, cookies, pies, pastries, donuts - and hopefully much more.

One day, I would like to open my own bakery. Until that day comes around, I hope to use this web site and blog to continue learning, practicing photography, and sharing my creations with others.
